“A night of programmes devoted to Johnny Cash peaked with more than 500,000 viewers on BBC4 on Friday, 27 November.

Johnny Cash at Folsom Prison, a new documentary about the singer’s controversial 1968 concert in California, averaged 429,000 viewers between 9pm and 10pm, a 2% multichannel share, peaking with 529,000 for its final 15 minutes, according to unofficial overnight figures.

This was the most popular Cash programme of the night.
